What is NatureSorb?
NatureSorb is a heat-treated sphagnum peat moss that provides a uniquely effective way to protect the enviroment from hydrocarbon and chemical spills. The material is highly absorbent and rapidly mops up leaked oils and other contaminants on contact. It differs from conventional cleaning materials because it fully absorbs hydrocarbon spills into its cell voids so that the pollutant is totally encapsulated within the structure of the moss.
Correctly applied to an oil spill - on land or water - NaturSorb cleans up 100%
Once contained within the peat moss, the oil contaminant biodegrades and will not be released from the moss, even under considerable preasure. This means that the used natureSorb can be safely disposed of in landfill. The high calorific value of NatureSorb filled with hydrocarbon waste is an excellent fuel for energy recycling through incineration.
Sphagnum moss is a renewable resource and is harvested in harmony with nature.
