About The Leavesley Group...

The Group has been a family owned trading company for 90 years, and the current board of directors of 4, still has 3 family members.

Trade started following the end of WW 1 when James Leavesley Snr bought a used bicycle from the UK army, and sold it locally from his home in Alrewas, Staffordshire. Further purchases and sales followed, and over the years gathered momentum, scale and variety.

The core business of used vehicles, plant & machinery, and surplus stock trading continues but operations now extend to 12 UK sites, several overseas sites, and turnover of £25 million. This has been enabled through  substantial investment in property, associated and ancillary products and services, and our ability to handle multi national contracts with a personal service and small focused teams.

Typical stock holding at our Staffordshire depot will include used cars, used vans and used HGV's, together with an extensive range of new and used construction and engineering equipment.

New and used generators, cranes, fork lifts, diggers and excavators will be in stock, and we are able to offer workshop modifications as required.

Our 3-4 container depots will stock new and used steel shipping containers, and we offer containers for rent, containers for sale, container modification, and self store containers.

The GQ agriculture teams provide farming production and farm quality assurance certification for clients which typically include Tesco, Tulip, and Assured Food Standards.
